@@AnnaSaccone yeah I think it’s maybe bc I was feeding the squirrels whole walnut pieces broken up and had some really cute ones jumping onto my balcony. I think other neighbors complained bc they aren’t wildlife friendly I guess. It’s super dumb and annoying but I still have a hummingbird feeder up and have tons of hummingbirds come. I occasionally put some food out in a plant pot and say to myself it’s not a “bird feeder” lol. I need to use the 2/3 if that gigantic bag up so it’s going to happen a bit at a time. I like to feed them more in the winter and migrating times I see more varieties. I’m not a big birder but really loved the different varieties and especially the year I had a nest on a shelf where I grow herbs. I had four or five eggs and all but one hatched. One fell out of the nest in cool weather so I had to scoop it’s featherless little body back in the nest and bought some gross mealworms for the mama to have extra food. it was cool to see. I have had some baby squirrels and in the yard behind my building on the edge is woods like your yard and I’ve seen a bobcat, coyotes and apparently we have had a visit from bears coming out of hibernation who visit the garbage dumpsters in spring. Lol. Poor bears. I can say I defo won’t go out at Dawn and dusk bc I don’t want to share my little dog with a hungry bobcat, coyote or just have a heart attack seeing a bear. We also have fawns (baby deer) near the lake near me which is always fun to see and bunnies in spring which had to get into my community garden and have a party in the spring peas and early summer green beans. I spied Dre’s shirt in the vid and checked out his school and it’s exactly the kind of school I went to as a first and second grader. It was modeled after Montessori a bit back then but exactly what their school is doing now. I learned way more in those years and it was so much more meaningful than any other school I’ve ever had. It fosters critical thinking, creativity and diversity in learning about all the subjects via natural curioisity. I look fwd to hearing how they like their school but understand you don’t want to advertise where your children are attending. I was super excited to see they are attending this form of education. Go you guys for finding a great place and expanding your own education as parents of learning kiddos. Wondered if Matt exposed you to this or you learned about it elsewhere. Also curious to hear how Edie will do in her new school and hope she will find a great group of friends there as she settles in. Happy pride to her. We have Seattle pride this weekend. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

I also spend that much on a family of 5 ( but we have one baby) and think it's expensive. I cook from scratch every day with fresh ingredients on £80 to £100 week which for me is expensive,so thats not what bumps the price up to £400 a week.I may be mistaken but I think Anna forgot to mention pretty much everything she buys is organic fruit and veg, organic milk and expensive brands and shops at places like ocado and waitrose which are the most expensive hence the price it's not from cooking from scratch every night that makes the price like that because I cook from scratch almost every day and spend £80 to £100 a week with decent fresh ingredients. I'm not being rude I just don't want anyone getting put off thinking cooking from scratch is something really expensive when it's not, just needs to be remembered Anna buys pretty much everything organic and from expensive supermarkets like ocado and waitrose. No hate if you have the money to shop at those places go for it. But cooking from scratch can be done on a decent budget too! Also, in that price I do buy branded and named stuff too. The big reason for the price is supermarket choice.
